Hear International’s institutional structure is anchored around three main organs:
- The Annual General Assembly (AGA)
- Hear International Board
- Hear International Secretariat
The Annual General Assembly (AGA): This is the supreme governance organ for the organization and comprises of all paid-up members of HI. It meets annually to play a strategic oversight role to approve organizational policies, deliberate on issues of strategic importance and holds the Board and Management accountable for the agreed decisions.
Hear International Board: The Board is the second highest governance organ of the organization. It is composed of Seven (7) Board members. The Board supervises the secretariat and ensures that decisions and policy proposals made at the Annual General Meeting are reasonably implemented. The Coordinator is an Ex-Officio member to the Board with no voting powers.
Hear International Secretariat: This is headed by the Coordinator. The secretariat is charged with the delivery of day to day activities of the organization.

Our mission is to contribute to strengthening of the rural communities through influencing socio-economic transformation for Sustainable Development.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To promote Sustainable Agriculture and biodynamic farming systems as a means of increasing farmer income and ensuring food security.
- To promote sustainable use and management of natural resources and biodiversity conservation.
- To promote effective action oriented socio-economic research and seek to have research findings used in planning, decision-making, policy formulation and community action to promote socio-economic development.
- To support Health and Education related programmes.
